Who better to tell you what the story is about than Lee Mead, star of the West End show and victim of bullying.

Joseph is the favourite son of Jacob. His 11 brothers resent the fact that their father dotes on him so much, and become really angry when Jacob gives Joseph an amazing multi-coloured coat.

Joseph also has incredible dreams which he claims predict that he will be far more successful than any of his brothers. The brothers get extremely jealous and decide that something needs to be done about Joseph and his arrogant behavior so they attack him in a field. They plan to throw him in a pit to die, but they change their minds and sell him as a slave in return for some cash. They tear up Joseph’s coat, cover it in goat’s blood, and tell their father that he has tragically died.

In the end, Joseph becomes an advisor to the Pharaoh (Egyptian King) and is rewarded with lots of money. The brothers suffer from famine and travel to Egypt in search of food, where they find, but don’t recognise Joseph. Joseph tests their honesty, and the brothers pass, before revealing his true identity and the family is reunited.
